Date Night at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel

Oak Grove Gaming is located in Oak Grove, KY and known for their “Vegas Thrills” they have an amphitheater, live harness racing, slot gaming, a luxurious hotel, fine dining and so much more. It’s only a 1 hour drive from Nashville, TN making it the perfect spot for a getaway that has so many things for Johnathan and I to do together!

Thank you to Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel for hosting us! These are my own thoughts.

First, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel is gorgeous! This month they will be celebrating their 1st year of opening, so let me be one of the first to say Happy Birthday! They have over 1,300 Vegas style gaming machines and complimentary beverage stations on the gaming floor.

We stayed in the Executive King Suite it has a King-size pillow-top bed, along with a separate seating area with a pull-out sofa. We loved the spacious bathroom and the shower head mimicked rain water. The television allows you to stream your favorite shows on Netflix and offers iHeart Radio, YouTube and Pandora.

Dinner

We had reservations at Garrison Oak Steakhouse, this place is something truly special. The menu was created by Executive Chef Mark Curry and his incredible culinary team. They have locally sourced the finest steaks and chops from butchers in Kentucky.

Concert Night

After dinner we went outside and walked over to the Oak Grove Amphitheater. It’s located on the infield of the Harness Racetrack. I love they created a space where there’s no bad seat in the house! The talented Country music singer and songwriter, Dan Ally opened the show for John Michael Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery lit up the night singing his hits from over the years. My favorite songs include a few of his chart toppers “I Can Love You Like That”, “I Swear” and “Be My Baby Tonight”. Ain’t nothing like line dancing to “Be My Baby Tonight” that song is so fun and full of energy!

It definitely brought back some good memories. My favorite moment of the night was holding Johnathan’s hand as he sung, “Rope The Moon”. He dedicated it to his wife and I’m a sucker for moments like these. Plus, I think my husband can rope the moon too, that man can do anything he puts his mind too.

We had such a good time at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel. They have something for everyone looking for a Vegas vibe without the drive or flight. I definitely recommend checking them out!
