Carve out some time for family fun this Fall in Nashville, TN at Gaylord Opryland Resort, Goblins & Giggles is happening now through October 29th! Thank you Gaylord Opryland for hosting us, all thoughts/opinions are my own! The amount of fun we had from the Trick or Treat Expedition to SoundWaves Water Experience and more was endless! By having a room during our visit, it made our quality time together even better. Nap times stayed the same for the children and we had a chance to recharge. I’m sharing the deets and some tips on the experiences we had.
There are many things to keep everyone in the family entertained and moving around this world class resort. So be sure to pack some comfortable shoes. After checking in our double queen room with a balcony atrium view of the gorgeous Garden Conservatory, it was game on to begin our itinerary.
The Adventure Kids Spook-tacular Scavenger Hunt
Together we explored the Delta atrium in search of hidden pumpkins. Some are monstrous and others surrounded by candy gum drops to reveal letters. Inside the booklet there are brain teasers and fun facts for the little explorers. Once completing the booklet and unscrambling the mixed up letters to solve the mystery words the kids earned a Halloween themed prize.
Ghouls Night Out Riverboat Ride
The boat takes you down a scenic route through Gaylord Opryland Resort’s Delta Atrium. Before boarding the boat, we were given a flyer with tricks and treats to find. We never turn down a challenge, so we played along. We found bats, webs, gnomes, cauldrons to name a few. You may notice a creepy warning sign, saying “Ride at your own risk!” Juliette excitedly pointed them out one by one. When our ride was over they gave us a Halloween themed parting gift.
Adventure Kids’ Clubhouse
In this area there are many different items where kids of all ages can work on their hand motor skills like pre-printed canvas or ceramic pumpkins. Juliette and Jesse loved painting their pumpkins together by the river. If you haven’t seen our video in our Instagram Gaylord Opryland highlights yet, be sure to check it out.
Goblins & Giggles Trick-or-Treat Expedition
This event was the kid’s favorite part of our staycation. They love dressing up to go trick-or-treating around in Gaylord Opryland. This expedition takes place in the Delta Island. After receiving our map, we used it to find all of the spooky stations. They each have different festive decor and names to fit like Corny Cove and Frankenstein’s Lab to name a few.
This is not your usual trick or treating affair. Remember darlings, this is Gaylord Opryland we’re talking about. The kids collected coloring pages and crayons, a commemorative Goblins & Giggles cup, a light up pumpkin watch, candies and more amazing goodies. During our expedition we ran into Spookley the Square Pumpkin before heading to dinner.
SoundWaves Nashville
SoundWaves is the nation’s first upscale indoor/outdoor resort water attraction, bringing music and water together to create an atmosphere the entire family will enjoy! They even have an adults-only section as well. We took advantage of the outdoor area being opened. First up we hit the Rising Star Stage (outdoors). Juliette was so brave! She slid down the water slide which is a big deal for her. She rarely attempts to try new things that she defines as scary. Jesse played on the sensory splash pad areas.
The Quarter Note Cove (indoor) is one of the kid’s favorite. It’s a splashy play area and pool designed for young children. This is the perfect spot for babies and toddler to play with their parents and make new friends. We all loved The Down Tempo Lazy River. Remember to grab a life vest for children and enjoy the ride. There’s LED lighting, music and we counted the Stingray paintings on the bottom of it. After all the fun we grabbed some food from Decibels, an eatery inside SoundWaves.
We all had such an incredible time and looking forward to our next staycation at this beautiful resort.
