Gaylord Opryland’s Summer of More is happening now through Monday, September 5, 2022. There’s a host of family-friendly pirates and princesses events galore like, The Shiny Stash Scavenger Hunt, Treasure Trove Art Studio, Pirates & Princesses Academy, Lost Treasure Flatboat Voyage, Royal Carriage Rides, The Captain’s Hidden Treasure Escape Room, SoundWaves and more. We were hosted during our stay and got a chance to check out all the fun!
Our kids are 3 and 1 years of age and let me tell you they enjoyed themselves from sun up to sun down. Here’s the activities we experienced together!
Treasure Trove Art Studio
This part is really cool! Upon entering you pick out which canvas you would like to paint. There’s a wide variety we selected a dinosaur, unicorn and butterfly. They will help you with your paint and brushes for your palate. It was so fun seeing our creativity flow and JP got in the zone. There was coloring sheets for Jesse to enjoy for mess free play.

Pirates & Princesses Academy
Kids of all ages can enjoy this show! You can sing and play along too. They captivated us and we learned of Sword Mistress and Princess Magnolia. Juliette and I took an official princess oath to join the royal court. Then we all took the pirate pledge to become honorary members of the captain’s crew.

Lost Treasure Flatboat Voyage
If you didn’t know Gaylord Opryland has a flatboat you can ride inside the 4.5-acre Delta Atrium. While enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds you remember your in search of the lost treasure. There’s clues and gems all around. Best of luck to you and your crew mates!
Royal Carriage Ride
Looking to feel regal and glamorous like a true princess? You’ve gotta take Royal carriage ride! We dressed up and made our way through the Cascades to the Magnolia lobby for a lovely carriage ride. Juliette was in complete awe of Princess Magnolia’s arrival. She and the Prince greeted us and then we were whisked away by the horse-drawn carriage into the sunset. It was so beautiful and Juliette truly felt like the Princess she is. She had us calling her Princess Juliette! We all felt pretty Royal in fact.

After our ride we had dinner at Ravello, Italian restaurant inside the courtyard Garden Conservatory. First can I just say the sweet tea was divine. This southern girl’s spirit was so happy! The pasta’s are freshly made there. It was a beautiful way to end our night as honorary members of the royal court.

The Captain’s Hidden Treasure Escape Room
All I can say is put your thinking cap on. Think find that treasure chest but wait there’s so many and various clues. It’s kid friendly and gets them moving which we they’ll love! It’s a phone free-zone, has on experience perfect for spending quality time together.

Animal Encounters
Nashville Wildlife Conservation Center host animal encounters. It’s a special educational opportunity to interact with and learn about a variety of incredible creatures and their unique personalities. We saw a pigeon and learned about owl feathers. The kids got to play with puzzle pieces and touch various feathers after the presentation. Check them out on Instagram at @nashvillewildlifecc.

SoundWaves
Juliette will talk your ear off about SoundWaves and I’m sure Jesse soon will too. It’s an indoor and outdoor upscale water oasis, not a water park. I’m telling you it’s an experience! I’m talking flow rider, kids areas, water slides, wave pool, adults-only pool, cabanas available to rent and more! There’s something for all ages!! When hunger kicked in we dined at Decibels in SoundWaves. The pizza and wings were so delicious!
