Going to Gaylord Opryland as a family is something that we always enjoy. On our most recent visit we were able to go without our children and had the most relaxing experience. This was a hosted stay, all thoughts are my own. Here’s my top 5 favorite things we did during our stay in no particular order.
Old Hickory Steakhouse
You can never go wrong when dining here. It is truly a gem and I love hearing the nearby waterfall. If you eat dinner around sunset you will see how the atrium goes from well lit to having to use your table lamp. We always order the 22oz Ribeye to share with sides.
Walk Around the Atrium Gardens
First, make sure your camera is charged because you are definitely going to want to take photos. The gardens are like no other, it boasts 9 acres of beautiful flowers and trees from all around the world. You could explore these gardens for free of charge.
Cascades Indoor and Outdoor Pool & Jacuzzi
The pools are so large and great for both relaxing and fun. There’s a bar and a food ordering service. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and if you’re not a fan of very hot water take it slow. However, if you are you will love it.
Fuse Sports Bar
We stopped here after a late night swim. They’re open until midnight. It’s a great place to go to if you’re looking to catch a game or see highlights as they have many TVs everywhere. There’s a full menu available even late night with many options to choose from. We love their wings and burgers. Also many of the items they serve are locally sourced. You can’t go wrong with this choice.
Late Night SoundWaves
“SoundRaves” Glow Party at SoundWaves features a DJ, neon face and body painters, and more. This event is kid friendly, so no worries if you want to bring the kids. We enjoyed the wave pool and adult only pools. All of the slides and attractions are open during this late night party happening from open from 8:30pm-Midnight CT.
